Surprising!!! Epsons is playing a clever game with their customers. They limit the lifetime of inkjet printer, about 12 months. After that periods, printer will stop working and warning message appears on screen “Some parts are about to exceed their lifetime! Required service”. Oh yes, some customers will call for Epson’s service and it costs £50 to fix it. Some customers will buy a new printer which costs them around £50. What a waste of money! Epson come to reset life counter of printer while we can use free software “SSC service utility for Epson Stylus Printers” to do the same job.
The tricky thing is why does epson not provide software to reset printer? And customer have to pay £50 for them to do that.
I used SSC software to reset counter for printer Epson R220 in my company and it came back to life again.
